Rehoboth Beach Tree Lighting and Sing-A-Long

2014 Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival

November 5-9, 2014

Since its inaugural event in 1998, the award winning Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival has developed into a premiere, Mid-Atlantic cultural event. The five-day Festival showcases many of the best American and international films including features, documentaries, and shorts. 29th Annual Holiday Fair

All proceeds will benefit the Rehoboth Art League's educational and outreach programs. The Art League Campus will be decked out in holiday attire. Bike MS: Bike to the Bay 2014

Cyclists will begin the ride at 8 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, from Delaware Technical and Community College, Scarborough Road in Dover to The Towers at Seashore State Park, Dewey Beach. 3rd Annual VIA Chicken Plunge

What IS  a Chicken Plunge? – a family-oriented activity for those who are “too chicken” to plunge in the cold weather.  Participants can either plunge in the ocean or the baby pool.  Lifeguards will be on hand to help out.

Sawgrass South Welcomes Beach Shuttle!

We are pleased to announce our new Sawgrass South Beach Shuttle!

In the spirit of appreciation, Piccard Homes is treating the residents of Sawgrass to a trial run of the community beach shuttle this summer.  This will be a FREE service this summer only and will run daily from July 2nd through September 2nd (no service on July 4th due to the holiday).

The service will run from the Sawgrass Gazebo to the Rehoboth Beach bandstand on Main Avenue. Click here for the summer beach shuttle schedule, which will also be available in the Sales Office.

Baby Boomers Setting New Trend on National Real Estate Market: All Cash Deals

As more Baby Boomers retire, real estate experts all across the United States are seeing more cash deals, according to a recent report from Bloomberg.
Evidently, these Baby Boomers (defined as anyone born between 1946 and 1964) are opting to purchase their homes with all cash instead of taking out a mortgage.
Experts credit this in part to the fact that US home price gains have restored $3.8 trillion in value to home owners since 2012.
This means that a record number of Americans (including Baby Boomers) are using that equity to help them pay cash for properties, avoiding a home loan altogether.
Another factor is that these Baby Boomers have more money in savings, allowing them the option to pay with cash.
This is an important trend that is sure to have an effect on all home buyers, not just those who fall in the Baby Boomer cohort.
